Documentation requirements vary by destination and may include export certificates, EU pet passports, microchip standards, and required vaccinations. TuscanHound Air will guide you through every necessary document to ensure your pet is fully prepared for travel.

Each ticketed passenger may bring two pets under 50 lbs each or one pet 51 lbs or more. For special requests, please contact us.
We recommend booking as early as possible.

  • Domestic flights: 1-2 months in advance
  • International flights: 2-8 months in advance

Advance booking allows adequate time for aircraft availability, regulatory approvals, and veterinary documentation — ensuring a smooth, stress-free journey.

If a Shared Charter flight does not reach the required number of confirmed bookings, all parties will be informed that the flight will not move forward, allowing time to arrange other plans. In the event of a cancellation, we will either propose alternative flight options or issue a full refund.
We provide regular updates on the status of Shared Charter flights, with communications sent at least once a month and more often when needed. Flights are officially confirmed no later than 30 days before departure, and in some cases much earlier, depending on booking demand.

Pet Safety & Comfort

All pets undergo a vetting process to ensure they meet TuscanHound Air’s travel requirements. Pets must remain leashed to ensure safety for all passengers.

Our charter partners operate under rigorous procedures that comply with, and often surpass, all FAA and Department of Transportation safety requirements. They maintain IS-BAO Stage II certification and hold the top-tier ARG/US Platinum safety rating.

Beyond operational standards, our onboard crew is specially trained to support both canine and human travelers, ensuring a calm and secure flight environment. For the safety of everyone on board, we reserve the right to deny boarding to any human or dog whose behavior could present a risk to crew members or other passengers.

TuscanHound Florence offers two in-home boarding options and grooming services. Luxury global boarding is available upon request.

Flight Experience

TuscanHound Air offers private in-cabin luxury air transport for pets of all sizes, domestically and internationally, plus road transport across the U.S., EU, and UK.

Pricing & Policies

Bookings may be cancelled up to 90 days before departure. Cancellations within 90 days of travel are eligible for a refund only if the passenger seat is rebooked by another paying guest. If the seat cannot be reassigned, no refund or credit will be issued, as Shared Charter flights operate on a crowdsourced model.

General Questions

Yes. Large pets can fly in the cabin on international routes when traveling on a private or semi-private charter designed specifically for in-cabin pet travel. We specialize in arranging aircraft and cabin configurations that allow pets of all sizes to remain comfortably by your side – never in cargo.
If you wish to travel with a cat, bird, or another non-canine companion, our team can review options to see if accommodations are possible. All non-canine pets must be secured in a suitable carrier and remain inside it for the duration of the flight.

Shared Charter Concierge is included with every Shared Charter flight and focuses on expert coordination, logistics, and oversight when you are traveling with or without your pet (or when your pet is flying within our Shared Charter framework).

The Executive Pet Travel Steward (EPTS) program is a premium, fully managed alternative designed for pets traveling without their owner within our global airline partners, providing a dedicated, certified professional who personally accompanies and cares for your pet door-to-door.

If you are traveling on the same flight as your pet, Shared Charter Concierge is typically the right choice. It ensures your journey is seamlessly coordinated while allowing you to remain your pet’s primary caregiver throughout the experience.

If you are unable to travel with your pet, we recommend both the Shared Charter Concierge or the Executive Pet Travel Steward (EPTS) program. Both options allows us to act as your pet’s trusted guardian, managing their journey end-to-end with hands-on care, advocacy, and continuous monitoring.

With the EPTS program, your pet is personally accompanied by a certified Executive Pet Travel Steward throughout the journey—before departure, during the flight, and through final handoff at the destination. Your pet is never unattended or treated as cargo.

All TuscanHound Air journeys are supported by structured protocols and expert oversight. With Shared Charter Concierge, we manage readiness, coordination, and logistics.
